Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Armed Security Guard located in Austin, TX. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of assigned areas, protecting individuals and property, patrolling designated locations, monitoring security systems, and promptly addressing any safety concerns or incidents. The Armed Security Guard will also enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a visible and professional presence, writing detailed incident reports, and collaborating effectively with law enforcement when necessary.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response practices
- Proficiency in handling and maintaining firearms, with appropriate licensing and certifications
- Excellent situational awareness, attention to detail, and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Possession of a valid and current armed security guard license in accordance with Texas state regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security services is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
