SUMMARY:
Armed / Tactical Response Officers
POSITION INFO:
The Armed / Tactical Response Officer is responsible for providing professional security services, rapid incident response, and protection of personnel and property within a high-security environment. The role requires disciplined, reliable, and physically fit individuals who can operate under pressure while maintaining strict professionalism, safety, and integrity at all times.
All candidates will undergo strict vetting, including criminal checks and polygraph assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide armed and/or tactical security response services
- Respond to incidents and emergencies promptly and effectively
- Ensure protection of site personnel, property, and assets
- Conduct routine patrols and enforce site security procedures
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and discipline at all times
- Complete accurate incident reports and security documentation
- Comply with firearm competency and legal security requirements
- Follow all operational site instructions and security protocols
- Maintain communication with control room and supervisors as required
- Support overall safety, risk management, and security operations
Requirements:
- PSiRA Grade C Certificate
- SAPS Competency Certificate
- PTFC Statement of Results
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Valid South African ID
- Own reliable transport (required)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Matric preferred (not essential)
- Age requirement: Not older than 50 years
- Previous armed or tactical response experience advantageous
- Strong discipline, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
- Clean criminal record (Criminal Check not older than 3 months required)
