What is Assistant Product Manager – Digital Banking – Mobilink Bank?

The Assistant Product Manager – Digital Banking is responsible for designing, enhancing, and managing digital banking products across mobile app, internet banking, and internal digital channels. The role focuses on translating business and customer needs into well-defined digital features, working closely with business, technology, operations, risk and compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-friendly solutions.

What Assistant Product Manager – Digital Banking Does?

1. Product Ownership & Roadmap

  • Own assigned digital banking products and features end-to-end.
  • Contribute to the digital banking roadmap in line with the bank’s transformation strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and improve customer journeys.
  • Define product objectives, success metrics, and release plans.

2. Requirements & Product Design

  • Gather requirements from business, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Convert requirements into clear PRDs, user stories, and functional flows.
  • Define end-to-end digital journeys and edge cases.
  • Work with UX/UI designers to create intuitive customer experiences.

3. Delivery & Execution

  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, reviews).
  • Provide clarifications to technology teams during development.
  • Perform and support UAT, pilots, and production releases.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance.
  • Ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Present product updates, demos, and progress to internal stakeholders.

5. Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Ensure all digital features comply with SBP regulations, internal policies, AML, and data security requirements.
  • Coordinate approvals with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and reviews.

6. Performance Monitoring & Improvement

  • Track digital KPIs such as adoption, usage, drop-offs, and turnaround time.
  • Analyse customer feedback, complaints, and system issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

7. Operational Readiness

  • Support creation of SOPs for digital processes.
  • Coordinate training for call centre, branch, and support teams on new features.
  • Ensure smooth handover to operations post-launch.

What are we looking for and what does it take to be Assistant Product Manager – Digital Banking – Mobilink Bank?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in product management, digital banking, fintech, or technology-enabled roles.
  • Exposure to mobile apps, internet banking, APIs, or core banking systems is preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
