Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend / Platform & Security Engineer to design and operate secure, scalable backend services and orchestration layers supporting enterprise AI platforms. This role combines backend engineering, workflow orchestration, and platform security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs optimized for analytics and AI workloads
- Build and maintain workflow orchestration pipelines (e.g., N8N, Copilot Studio) for intent routing and tool execution
- Implement session management and state handling for multi-step workflows
- Configure and manage API gateways (authentication, throttling, logging, monitoring)
- Enforce secure integration boundaries across systems and services
- Design and implement RBAC-aware applications and services
- Integrate with enterprise identity systems (SSO, OAuth2, Azure AD, etc.)
- Establish end-to-end observability (logging, tracing, monitoring)
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and enterprise standards
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in backend development and API design (Node.js, .NET, Java, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with API gateways and microservices architectures
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (N8N, Power Platform, or similar)
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and RBAC models
- Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and platform security principles
- Experience implementing observability frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI/agent-based systems
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
