Position: Bylaw Enforcement Officer for Parking
Take on a vital role as a Parking Bylaw Enforcement Officer in the District of North Vancouver, monitoring and enforcing compliance with municipal parking regulations. Engage directly with the community through patrols and citations.

The District needs an auxiliary officer to carry out parking enforcement tasks, which include patrolling specific areas, addressing public complaints, and issuing tickets for infractions. You’ll be responsible for preparing court evidence, maintaining records, and assisting superiors with enforcement tasks. This job demands strong conflict resolution, judgment, and customer service skills to handle public interactions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas and enforce parking regulations

• Issue citations for violations and investigate complaints

• Compile evidence and appear in court for prosecution

• Maintain detailed records and prepare enforcement reports

• Support supervisors with designated enforcement responsibilities

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and law enforcement experience

• BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence required

• Sound knowledge of bylaws and regulations

• Ability to manage public relations tactfully

• Proficient in computer use and RCMP security clearance
