Role Description
- Define and lead the enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management framework
- Establish and enforce information security policies, standards, and controls across all systems and business units
- Oversee cyber defense operations including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring
- Drive enterprise security architecture across on-premise, cloud, hybrid, and SaaS environments
- Lead identity and access management, data protection, encryption, and endpoint security strategies
- Manage cyber risk assessments, mitigation plans, and reporting to executive leadership and the board
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX where applicable)
- Oversee third-party and vendor security risk management and due diligence
- Lead security awareness programs and foster a strong security-first culture across the organization
- Direct incident response and crisis management for major cyber incidents or breaches
- Drive security transformation initiatives such as zero trust architecture, cloud security modernization, and automation of security operations
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing cybersecurity teams and capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (MBA often preferred for executive roles)
- 10–20+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management, including senior leadership experience
- Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture, cyber defense, and risk governance
- Deep understanding of SOC operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern enterprise IT environments
- Proven ability to lead large-scale security programs and cross-functional teams
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including board-level reporting
- Strategic mindset with ability to balance business objectives and security risk
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC are highly preferred
- High integrity, resilience, and ability to manage critical incidents under pressure
