Senior Cloud Engineer (Multi-Cloud & GCP Specialist)
A leading banking institution is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to play a strategic role in designing and maintaining an enterprise-grade multi-cloud ecosystem. This role is perfect for a technical leader who excels in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and has a deep focus on GCP and AI/Data architecture.
You will lead the development of public cloud standard catalogues, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and optimized for the next generation of AI and data-driven banking services.
Key Responsibilities
- IaC Strategy: Lead the design of Terraform modules and security configurations, implementing best practices for Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
- Architecture Review: Conduct root cause analysis and architecture reviews to develop solutions for security baselines, compliance, and resilience.
- AI & Data Integration: Review architecture patterns for seamless integration of AI models using tools like Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Model Armor.
- Multi-Cloud Governance: Collaborate with application teams and stakeholders to implement best practices for deployment and governance across GCP, AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
- Continuous Compliance: Regularly review cloud security postures and compliance standards to ensure the foundation layer remains audit-ready.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in public cloud implementation and architecture, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience using Terraform for automation.
- GCP Expertise: The hiring manager is specifically looking for an expert in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive technical excellence in this environment.
- Technical Depth: Deep understanding of Landing Zone architecture, cloud networking, and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- AI Security: Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and emerging best practices for AI Security.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Chinese (written and verbal) to effectively articulate cloud designs to DevOps, security, and compliance teams.
Technical Toolkit
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud (Primary Focus), Alibaba Cloud.
- Automation: Terraform, DevOps Pipelines.
- Data/AI: PubSub, CloudRun, Kafka, BigQuery, Vertex AI, DLP.
