In this vital role, you’ll direct and escort pedestrians, communicate traffic rules, and maintain safety at various intersections. Key Responsibilities:
• Direct pedestrians safely across school zones
• Communicate traffic rules to students and adults
• Monitor traffic flow for safe crossing gaps
• Report unsafe conditions to the Ottawa Safety Council
• Maintain a professional presence at assigned crossings
Requirements:
• Smart Phone with data plan
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (asset)
• Valid Standard First Aid with CPR C certification (asset)
• Effective English communication skills
• Physical ability to perform crossing duties
