Are you an experienced, detail‑driven forensic professional with strong leadership and investigative skills? We are seeking a Crime Scene Investigator (Tier 3) to join our EMSOU Forensic Services team at Nottinghamshire Police.
🚀 What you'll do
- Lead and manage complex, serious and major crime scenes, maximising forensic opportunities
- Supervise and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 Crime Scene Investigators
- Develop and implement crime scene examination strategies as part of major investigations
- Provide expert advice on forensic submissions to support investigative outcomes
- Ensure compliance with forensic standards, accreditation requirements and health & safety processes
- Work collaboratively with regional and national teams, supporting specialist operations when required
- Attend court to present evidence and support prosecutions
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of forensic services
💡 What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in crime scene investigation and forensic processes
- Strong understanding of forensic science and its application in criminal investigations
- Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop team members
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in complex environments
- Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills
- Experience using relevant IT systems and forensic technologies
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, call-outs and across a regional area
- Qualified CSI (Stage 2 or equivalent), with further specialist/management experience desirable
