The business works closely with an MSSP model and is focused on strengthening its internal security capabilities while maintaining a scalable and efficient operating structure. This is an opportunity to join a well established security function and play a key role in incident investigation and response within a globally distributed environment.

Overview of role:

This role sits at a Level 2 SOC equivalent, focused on in depth incident investigation rather than high volume alert triage. You will act as a key layer between initial alert monitoring and advanced escalation, taking ownership of analysing, validating, and responding to security incidents.

Operating in a remote setup aligned to the Pacific time zone, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external MSSP partners to ensure effective threat detection and response. The environment is moderate in alert volume, allowing for deeper analytical work and higher quality investigation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigate and respond to security alerts, determining legitimacy and impact
  • Analyse logs, endpoint data, and network activity to identify potential threats
  • Take ownership of incidents from identification through to resolution or escalation
  • Work closely with MSSP partners to ensure effective coordination and response
  • Correlate data across multiple tools and sources to support investigations
  • Document findings, actions, and recommendations clearly and accurately
  • Support continuous improvement of detection rules and response processes

Key requirements:

  • Experience operating as a SOC Analyst or Cyber Security Analyst at Level 2 equivalent
  • Background in a large SOC unit or enterprise scale security operations environment
  • Experience working alongside or interfacing with an MSSP model
  • Strong incident investigation and analytical capability
  • Comfortable working in environments with moderate alert volumes requiring deeper analysis
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup across time zones
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
