Cyber Governance Consultant
Birmingham | £45,000 – £65,000 – Hybrid working (2-3 days in the Birmingham office)
I’m working with a growing Digital Cyber team who are looking to hire a Cyber Governance Consultant to support the delivery of cyber risk, controls and advisory engagements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience across IT security, cyber risk, IT audit or controls assessments who enjoys working directly with clients and translating technical findings into clear, practical recommendations.
The role will involve:
- Delivering cyber governance and advisory engagements
- Facilitating client workshops
- Assessing IT and security controls against frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks and NIST
- Supporting cyber risk and control gap assessments
- Producing clear reports suitable for senior stakeholders, boards and executive committees
- Working with clients to provide meaningful and practical recommendations
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to the growth of the cyber proposition
They are looking for someone with:
- Experience across IT security, IT risk, cyber governance or IT audit
- Knowledge of security controls, risk assessments and control frameworks
- Experience with CIS, ISO, NIST or similar standards
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
- The ability to explain technical risks to non-technical audiences
- Relevant certifications such as CISA, Security+, Network+, SSCP or CISSP would be beneficial
Package:
- £45,000 – £65,000
