Cybersecurity Operations Lead
Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining the
organization’s security strategy, ensuring the protection of information assets,
networks, and systems. This role oversees cybersecurity operations, risk management,
compliance, and incident response to safeguard the organization against threats.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with
business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the cybersecurity team in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security
incidents and threats.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat intelligence
initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST,
CIS, GDPR, PDPA).
• Establish policies, procedures, and best practices for secure system design,
configuration, and operations.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and business units to integrate security into
projects and operations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, security audits, and reporting to executive
management.
• Mentor and develop cybersecurity personnel, promoting continuous skill
enhancement.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to enhance
security posture.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or
related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership
role.
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, identity
management, cloud security, and application security.
• Experience with security operations centres (SOC), SIEM, and incident response
procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent.
