Cyber Security Risk Analyst
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of cyber security, governance, compliance, and business risk. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating cyber and technology risks across our client's critical infrastructure environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting cyber and technology risk assessments across projects and operational environments.
- Maintaining and improving cyber security risk registers.
- Performing threat and vulnerability analysis to identify emerging risks.
- Developing risk treatment plans and monitoring remediation activities.
- Producing reports and recommendations for executive and operational stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance activities aligned with AESCSF, Essential Eight and other industry frameworks.
- Partnering with technology, operational, and business teams to embed effective risk management practices.
What we're looking for
- Experience in cyber security risk management, governance, or assurance.
- Strong understanding of threat landscapes and vulnerability management.
- Experience working within critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of AESCSF, NIST, ISO27001, Essential Eight or similar frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Highly regarded
- CRISC, CISA, CISSP or related certifications.
- Experience supporting cyber audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Cyber Security Analyst
This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of cyber security functions including security operations, vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and incident response.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting and enhancing cyber security technologies and controls.
- Managing Identity and Access Management processes and platforms.
- Operating and optimising Endpoint Detection and Response solutions.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activities.
- Investigating security events and responding to cyber incidents.
- Working with technical teams to improve security posture across the environment.
- Contributing to security monitoring, threat detection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting compliance with AESCSF, Essential Eight and other security frameworks.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with cyber security technologies and operations.
- Knowledge of EDR, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in critical infrastructure, energy, utilities, or enterprise environments.
Highly regarded
- Security+, CISSP, SSCP, GIAC or equivalent certifications.
- Experience supporting Essential Eight uplift programs.
