About The Role

Our blue chip client requires an experienced Cyber Security Specialist with proven skills in protecting against cyber threats and implementing the best security practices. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity defenses, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical information assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security controls to mitigate risks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies, respond to security breaches, and ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your expertise to safeguard vital digital infrastructure while advancing your professional development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cyber security incident management, vulnerability management, and security tools is required. Proficiency in SIEM platforms, Anti-Virus solutions, Data Loss Prevention tools, and other security technologies is essential. A comprehensive understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards including ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS, and best practices in threat mitigation is necessary. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also key attributes for success in this role. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and respond to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize impact on business operations.

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.

Implement and maintain security tools such as SIEM, Anti-Virus, Data Loss Prevention, and other relevant technologies.

Develop, review, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.

Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats and respond proactively.

Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure architecture and infrastructure.

Provide training and awareness programs to staff on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and other relevant security standards through audits and documentation.

Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats to continuously improve security posture.
