Role overview:
We are seeking experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Specialists to support a large federal government agency with conducting investigations into cyber security threats from internal, domestic and international sources.
The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in strengthening the department’s ability to detect malicious activity, and briefing senior executives on threats, trends, and recommended mitigations. We are ideally looking for a permanent employee for this role, with an attractive salary package on offer.
The role will be responsible for:
- Monitoring Australian government and third-party CTI feeds to identify potential threats
- Collect, triage and analysing technical and open-source feeds to provide intelligence alerts, threat assessments, and threat profiles for executive briefs
- Working with security operations teams to uplift cyber security monitoring and detection tools.
- Conduct strategic threat landscape analysis with threat intelligence platforms
- Management of tactical data feeds on indicators of compromise
To be successful, you will have extensive experience in:
- Cyber threat intelligence, or threat assessments within the federal government
- Design, development and management of CTI dashboards, reports and playbooks
- Using SIEM platforms and TTPs to identify vulnerability exposure
- Strong knowledge of cyber-attack tactics, techniques and procedures
