💡 What You’ll Be Doing
– Run the Engine: Manage and maintain enterprise databases (Oracle, Db2, – – SQL Server, PostgreSQL) with a focus on stability and uptime.
– Make It Fast: Hunt down performance bottlenecks, tune queries, and optimize systems for speed and efficiency.
– Lock It Down: Implement strong security controls—access management, encryption, auditing, and compliance (PCI-DSS, ISO).
– Handle the Unexpected: Troubleshoot incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and ensure problems don’t happen twice.
– Automate Everything: Build scripts and smart solutions to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
– Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with developers, infrastructure, and security teams to drive best practices.
🧠 What You Bring
– Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
– 2-4 years hands-on experience with enterprise databases (Oracle, Db2, SQL Server, or similar)
– Strong skills in performance tuning and troubleshooting
– Solid understanding of database security principles and tools
– Experience with Linux/Unix or Windows environments
– Scripting mindset (Shell, PowerShell, Python, or SQL)
– A problem-solver attitude with attention to detail
