Support the safety of individuals in custody as a Detention Guard at Campbell River RCMP Detachment. This role includes monitoring prisoners and maintaining security under the guidance of RCMP officers.
As part of Canada’s only not-for-profit security company, you will be responsible for observing prisoners, conducting searches, and ensuring cellblock safety. Candidates must be committed to a career in security and willing to undertake required training. Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor prisoner well-being using CCTV
• Record and log prisoner activities
• Organize meals and ensure cleanliness of cells
• Maintain cellblock security and key storage
• Conduct searches of cells regularly
Requirements:
• Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification
• Ability to obtain RCMP Reliability Clearance
• Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills
• Basic computer skills and physical mobility requirements
• Willingness to undergo ongoing training
