Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Fire & Security Engineer. The engineer will design, configure, and support fire and security solutions, collaborating with internal teams and clients via remote tools to understand requirements and propose effective system architectures. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing security needs, reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring that systems meet safety codes, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory guidelines. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, assisting with incident response, and recommending improvements to enhance resilience and protection. The engineer will also help document configurations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and security practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in a range fire alarm panels.
- Knowledge of Application Security principles for software, monitoring, and control platforms used in fire and security environments.
- Familiarity with fire and security systems, alarm technologies, and industry regulations or codes (e.g., BAFE or equivalent local standards).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics, and translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective remote communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support clients and colleagues in a distributed environment.
- Relevantcertification, or equivalent hands-on experience in fire alarms, security, electronics, or a related engineering field.
