The role
The Go-to-Market SSHE Coordinator will be the primary contact for all Security, Safety, Health, and Environment (SSHE) matters within the Go-to-Market segment for selected Eastern Europe countries, while also serving as the Security point of contact for the entire Europe & ANZ team. The role covers SSHE oversight for the Distribution Centre, Refrigerated Vans, and the TMICC office across the Baltics, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The coordinator will provide leadership and practical support to drive the Security and SHE agenda, ensure effective SSHE risk management at all sites, and help deliver Zero Harm in Safety and zero Category 1 environmental incidents.
A role will be the point of contact for Security expertise for Europe and ANZ.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- SSHE Point of Contact: Act as the main SSHE representative for the Distribution Centres, Refrigerated Vans, and Office locations in Baltics, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia of Eastern Europe.
- Provide security expertise covering said countries of Eastern Europe as well as rest of Europe and Australia for office security, Distribution centre security, transport security, and a focus upon regional security environments
- develop knowledge and use of provided online security intelligence products
- Maintain a wider view of the security environment in Europe while focusing upon Eastern Europe
- Support the Regional SSHE Lead in driving the security agenda for new office selection and opening
- Work closely with Workplace colleagues to ensure office security measures are implemented
- Provide security support to the Regional SSHE lead for the wider European region
- SSHE Agenda: Drive the SSHE agenda, ensuring alignment with the company's goals of Zero Harm in Safety and zero Category 1 incidents in Environment.
- Undertake ongoing SSHE training and certification to develop a full-spectrum SSHE skillset
- Maintain the SHE system to ensure compliance with company and relevant industry and legislative requirements
- Manage day to day SHE activities, including risk assessment, action management and reporting
- Conduct audits as necessary to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop the knowledge to complete SHE reporting and conduct data analysis to inform SHE indicators progression
- Provide support, advice and coaching to management and leadership teams on effective SHE management practices
- Develop wider SHE skills through training and experiential learning to monitor, report, and provide leadership in:
- Road Safety: Implement and monitor road safety initiatives to ensure the safety of all personnel and assets during transportation
- Distribution centre safety: Implement all safety measures and ensure safety of the warehouse refrigeration system and personnel who are working there
- Office safety: Implement all safety guidelines in offices of countries in scope. Ensure all events within and outside the office have undergone a safety assessment and corrective action before they are held
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant SSHE regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver SSHE training programs to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations and reporting of SSHE incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SSHE performance.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Strong working knowledge of legislation
- Excellent computer and literacy skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a SSHE role (Security, Safety, Health, Environment) preferably within the supply chain or logistics sector. Demonstrable experience in at least 2 SSHE functions including security as part of any previous SSHE role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Security practices and techniques in a logistics and office environment in Eastern Europe. Experience in, or knowledge of SSHE regulations and best practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Highly desirable: Certified security qualifications from a police/military academy, international NGO (UN, EU, OSCE etc), or obtained with ASIS or similar recognised international body. Relevant SSHE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable
