We’re looking for a highly technical and hands-on Head of Cloud Systems & Security to lead our cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, and security capability across a regulated fintech environment.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can combine deep technical expertise with strong delivery, programme leadership, and stakeholder management experience within complex technology environments.
What you’ll do
- Own and lead our multi-cloud environment across AWS & GCP
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, and platform engineering initiatives
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure aligned with fintech and regulatory standards
- Lead cloud and application security, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, and compliance
- Establish engineering best practices across automation, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence
- Lead cross-functional cloud and infrastructure transformation initiatives across engineering and business teams
- Build and mentor a high-performing Cloud & Security team
- Partner closely with engineering, product, compliance, and leadership teams to support business growth at scale
Essential skills & experience
- 10-12+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles
- Candidates should already be based in the UAE and bring prior experience operating within the UAE market environment, with an understanding of regional business dynamics and regulatory expectations.
- Deep hands-on expertise across AWS & GCP production environments
- Strong experience with: Kubernetes & Docker, Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, Linux systems and microservices architecture, Cloud security, IAM, RBAC, networking, and secrets management
- Previous hands-on software engineering background, ideally Node.js / JavaScript
- Experience designing and operating secure, scalable cloud environments
- Proven experience leading cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering teams
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Strong programme / project management capability, with the ability to drive delivery across multiple teams and priorities
- Strong influencing, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences
Strongly preferred
- Experience within fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated industries
- Experience with MERN stack deployments and scaling
- Exposure to GitOps, ArgoCD, or advanced observability tooling
- Security or cloud certifications across AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes
