The Job
- Ensure 24/7 availability of core banking, digital, and payment systems
- Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, data centers, and support teams
- Monitor system performance, manage incidents, and conduct root cause analysis
- Govern ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release management)
- Ensure SLA compliance and drive service improvement initiatives
- Maintain regulatory compliance (CBSL, ISO) and audit readiness
- Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Manage IT risks, security operations, and patching cycles
- Handle vendor management, contracts, and service delivery
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT operations teams
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 10–15+ years of IT operations experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role within banking IT operations
- Strong knowledge of core banking systems, networks, and data centers
- Good understanding of ITIL, cybersecurity, and DR/BCP practices
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Results-driven with a strategic and proactive mindset
