For our client, we are seeking a Head Of Security to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Own and enhance the company’s security program end-to-end
- Contribute hands-on from day one while creating a growth roadmap
- Advise on product-related security risks and partnerships
- Utilize a strong security posture to attract new customers
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure security without hampering development
- Lead incident response and breach preparedness processes
- Report security status and risks to executive teams
- Work with Legal on compliance and regulatory obligations
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience owning security programs in cloud environments
- Deep technical expertise in security with hands-on experience
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, ideally in healthcare/HIPAA
- Ability to communicate security risks to diverse audiences
- Proven track record of leveraging automation and tooling in security
- Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
