About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Head of Security Operations takes ownership of critical operational security capabilities, including security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, network security, security engineering, and broader operational security capabilities. You will play a key role in translating security strategy into reliable, repeatable, and measurable outcomes that protect the Co-op.
Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will ensure Fonterra’s security operations are resilient, continuously improving, and aligned with our cyber risk appetite and evolving business priorities.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and elevate security operations at scale, bringing together internal teams and vendor partners to deliver strong, coordinated protection for Fonterra.
About You | Mōu
You are an experienced security operations leader with a strong foundation in information security, underpinned by a tertiary qualification in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, with industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC considered an advantage.
You bring deep expertise in leading enterprise-scale security operations, with a proven track record across Security Operations Centres (SOC), incident response, and vulnerability management within complex, regulated environments.
You are a confident decision-maker and calm under pressure, able to lead and respond decisively during high-impact incidents. Above all, you combine strong operational leadership with a pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset, and the ability to lead teams and stakeholders to deliver resilient, high-performing security operations.
