Support the Information Security team in monitoring security activities, reviewing alerts, documenting incidents, and maintaining the security of Royal Jordanian’s information systems and data.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor networks, systems, applications, and security platforms for potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
- Review security alerts and escalate potential incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in investigating, documenting, and reporting information security incidents and breaches.
- Assist in investigating, documenting, and reporting information security incidents.
- Record identified vulnerabilities and follow up with concerned teams on the progress of corrective actions.
- Research emerging threats, attack methods, threat actors, and active cybersecurity campaigns.
- Prepare summaries of identified threats and recommend preventive actions in coordination with senior team members.
- Support the implementation, configuration, monitoring, and testing of information security technologies and controls.
- Review access requests to information systems, applications, and information assets in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of information security policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Prepare security reports, findings, statistics, and status updates as required.
- Participate in information security awareness activities and campaigns.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills both in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls.
- Knowledge of networking, operating systems, servers, databases, and applications.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, Security Information and Event Management systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Data Loss Prevention, endpoint security, and antivirus solutions.
- Familiarity with information security standards and frameworks, including ISO/IEC 27001 and PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Documentation and report-writing skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field
