What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Conduct near real-time security monitoring in a 24×7 environment using SIEM and cybersecurity tools
- Monitor alert health and escalate critical alerts according to service level agreements
- Detect and analyze security incidents to assess threats effectively
- Address customer Requests For Information, providing insights and guidance on SOC infrastructure
- Perform level 1 assessment of incoming alerts and coordinate with tier II/III for critical incidents
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a security-related role
- Fundamental knowledge of Cyber Security technologies and the threat landscape
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to engage proactively with customers and management
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in written and oral English
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Experience in an Information Security Analyst position and familiarity with cyber threat hunting techniques
- Proficiency in incident response using various SIEMs and understanding incident response protocols
- Experience with scripting in languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash Shell
- Relevant security certifications such as SANS GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials
