The Role

As an Information Security Compliance Officer (ISCO), you will help protect the organisation’s systems, networks, and data by supporting security controls, identifying and addressing security risks, and ensuring compliance with information security policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. You will also assist with monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and maintaining the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Job Responsibilities

As an ISCO you will support the team on:

  • Security and Compliance: Support information security compliance and continuous improvement by maintaining documentation, conducting reviews and audits, tracking remediation activities, and enhancing security tools, processes, and controls to strengthen the organisation’s security posture.
  • Monitoring & Compliance Support: Maintain security inventories, documentation libraries, reports, and metrics, while conducting periodic reviews and supporting day-to-day information security operations.
  • Training & Awareness: Assist in delivering information security training and awareness programmes to promote good security practices across the organisation.
  • Risk & Incident Management: Support information security risk assessments, document identified risks, monitor security incidents, and escalate issues in line with established procedures.
  • Vendor & Project Support: Assist with supplier and product security assessments and contribute to information security initiatives and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in Information Technology and/or information security.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and non-technical concepts, communicate risks clearly, write reports and recommend practical solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to succeed, learn, prioritize and work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
