Our client is a large enterprise environment based in Leuven, Belgium. For a long-term freelance mission, they are looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer with strong expertise in security operations, vulnerability management, and cyber risk analysis.
Mission Overview
- Monitor, investigate, and analyze security incidents across complex IT environments
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate remediation actions
- Contribute to strengthening the organization’s overall security posture
- Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders
- Support both operational security and vulnerability management activities
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activities and security incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate remediation actions
- Maintain and optimize security monitoring tools and processes
- Conduct penetration testing and identify security vulnerabilities
- Support vulnerability management initiatives and follow-up processes
- Analyze and assess cyber security risks across multiple IT layers
- Document, test, and track security breaches and corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve security posture
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security / Cyber Security
- Experience in SOC or security operations environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Vulnerability management
- Incident management
- Cyber risk management
- OWASP and web security
- Security monitoring tools and processes
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
