The Information Security Manager will lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operational security initiatives to ensure the protection of enterprise systems, networks, and sensitive information assets. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s security posture, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving risk management efforts across the technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, deployment, and ongoing administration of enterprise security solutions, including network security platforms, endpoint protection technologies, and threat monitoring systems.
  • Oversee cybersecurity incident management activities, including detection, investigation, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively enhance organizational defenses.
  • Establish and maintain information security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable compliance and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, PCI standards, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support assessments, remediation initiatives, and control validation efforts.
  • Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments, vulnerability management programs, and security reviews to identify and prioritize operational risks.
  • Develop strategies and frameworks that minimize exposure to cybersecurity threats while supporting business continuity objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, legal, infrastructure, and operational teams on security and risk-related initiatives.
  • Assess and implement modern cybersecurity technologies and methodologies, including cloud security, zero-trust principles, automation, and intelligent threat detection capabilities.
  • Stay informed on evolving technologies and trends that may impact organizational security strategy and operational resilience.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Development and execution of a strategic information security roadmap with clearly defined milestones and deliverables.
  • Identification and remediation of security gaps across infrastructure, applications, and operational processes.
  • Strengthening and standardizing security controls throughout the enterprise technology stack.
  • Providing technical leadership and oversight across all cybersecurity-related initiatives and projects.
  • Managing internal security personnel and third-party vendors to ensure timely completion of security objectives.
  • Partnering closely with senior technology leadership to align cybersecurity initiatives with broader organizational priorities and growth strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Active CISSP certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience within information security, including at least 3 years leading teams or security functions.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and governance standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Experience securing modern environments including cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, encryption technologies, SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS solutions, and data loss prevention tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong balance of technical expertise and business acumen, with the ability to align security priorities to operational needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with Salesforce environments is considered a plus.
  • Comfortable managing and collaborating with distributed or remote teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, project management platforms, and reporting/visualization tools.
  • Prior exposure to healthcare, government, or regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex conversations and collaborate across multiple departments and leadership levels.
