Help shape the future of information security within a highly respected organisation.
We're looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to join a collaborative Technology Security team responsible for protecting critical business systems, sensitive data and the wider security posture of a large organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical security knowledge with governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement, while helping to build a strong culture of security across the business.
What you'll be doing
As a key member of the Technology Security team, you'll:
🔹 Support the development and continuous improvement of information security policies, standards and procedures.
🔹 Provide expert guidance on information security, governance and compliance across the organisation.
🔹 Identify security risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, helping to strengthen overall cyber resilience.
🔹 Investigate and resolve security-related issues, working closely with internal technology teams and stakeholders.
🔹 Review new and existing systems and business processes to ensure security is embedded from the outset.
🔹 Promote security awareness, digital wellbeing and best practice throughout the organisation.
🔹 Help ensure compliance with information security standards and relevant legislation.
What we're looking for
You'll bring a blend of technical security knowledge and strong stakeholder engagement skills, alongside experience in areas such as:
✅ Information Security within a medium or large organisation
✅ ISO 27001, NIST or similar security frameworks
✅ GDPR, Data Protection legislation and security governance
✅ Security tools, risk assessments and vulnerability management
✅ Investigating and resolving security incidents or technical security issues
✅ Producing clear documentation, policies and recommendations
✅ Managing multiple priorities and delivering to deadlines
