Job Description
About the Job:
Reporting to the Head of Information Security, the Information Security Officer is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of information security controls and security platforms.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and ensure the effectiveness of enterprise security tools and platforms, including EDR, Email Security, PAM, WAF, DDoS, AV, SASE, and related cyber defense controls, in line with approved configurations, policies, and regulatory requirements..
- Ensure platforms are actively monitored, alerts are reviewed, and actions are taken in accordance with approved use cases and SOPs.
- Ensure security tools comply with regulatory and security mandates (CBJ, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402).
- Conduct periodic health checks and gap assessments assigned to validate control coverage and effectiveness.
- Oversee configuration, change, incident, request, for all cyber defense platforms.
- Conduct routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Ensure on time execution and tracking of scheduled operational activities & assigned tasks.
- Support SOC operations and incident response by ensuring effective use of security tools.
- Add any new validated Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) across security platforms.
- Participate in DR drills and validate readiness of security controls as assigned.
- Maintain and review security tool architecture, scope documents, and SOPs.
- Support internal and external audits by providing evidence and explaining control effectiveness in practice.
- Engage with vendors for health checks, patching, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Drive delivery of security tools–related projects, POCs, demos …etc. as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or any related Field ).
Language:
- Very Good command of English language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
Certifications (desired):
- Any information security/IT security certification would be an added advantage.
Experience Type:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in security tools and platforms.
- Experience in managing security posture and compliance to regulatory standards like PCI-DSS, ISO27001, NIST, CBJ…etc.
- Relevant technical/security controls certifications.
Skills And Competencies
Job Specific Skills:
- Usage and experience of MS Office Tools.
- Knowledge of privileged access management solutions such as Beyond Trust.
- Hands‑on experience managing the operational effectiveness of security tools and platforms, including Antivirus, EDR, DLP, and Email Security and other types of security.
- Strong communication, analytical, logical /technical and strong organization skills, teamwork, customer service oriented
Key Competencies:
- Good skills in Reading, Writing and Speaking English
- Team player and ability to provide firsthand service resolutions
- Customer focused and should be able to work and deliver under pressure and should have an easy-going attitude with the ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated and ability to manage the client and represent the client internally.
