Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an IT Security Administrator based in Amman. The IT Security Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining security controls across the organization’s IT environment. Daily tasks include administering security tools, managing user access, monitoring system and network security, applying security policies, supporting vulnerability remediation, maintaining endpoint protection, and assisting with incident response activities. The role requires strong hands-on experience in IT security operations, system administration, and implementing best practices to protect networks, systems, and data.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, system administration, network administration, or information security

Strong knowledge of endpoint security, access control, firewalls, antivirus/EDR, patch management, and security monitoring tools

Experience managing user accounts, permissions, identity access, and security policies

Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, VPN, and secure system configuration

Ability to monitor security alerts, investigate issues, and support incident response activities

Experience with vulnerability management, patching, backup security, and hardening practices

Understanding of cybersecurity standards, compliance requirements, and IT security best practices

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Ability to work with technical teams and support secure day-to-day IT operations

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field

Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, or CompTIA certifications are a plus
