Swoon is actively seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the team!
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Network Infrastructure Leadership – Designs, develops, and optimizes Rosenberger North America’s network infrastructure, serving as a tier 3 escalation point and technical mentor for the Infrastructure Team.
- Strategic Planning & Architecture – Leads infrastructure planning, scalability initiatives, and high-level architecture design to ensure a secure, resilient, and future-ready IT environment.
- Security & Compliance – Implements security measures across endpoint, cloud, network, and storage; ensures compliance with NIST, RMF, and Cybersecurity Framework standards; and supports data protection and incident response strategies.
- Performance & Monitoring – Oversees infrastructure performance monitoring, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and continuity planning; proactively addresses inefficiencies and irregularities.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement – Acts as a liaison between IT leadership, external service providers, and internal teams (including Business Intelligence) to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
- Governance & Documentation – Manages change/configuration processes, prepares assessments and reports (including SARs), maintains asset inventories, and leads documentation efforts for training, auditing, and compliance.
What’s required?
- Education & Certification – Bachelor’s in Computer Science or 5+ years relevant experience; CompTIA A+/Network+ or Cisco equivalent required; Security+ preferred.
- Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with CMMC, NIST guidelines, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Technical Expertise – Strong skills in VMware, Citrix, Cisco networking/routing, Microsoft OS/Office, Active Directory, VPN, Exchange, VOIP, and cybersecurity tools; NetApp SAN experience a plus.
- Troubleshooting & Support – Proven ability to resolve software/hardware issues, document solutions, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Soft Skills & Work Style – Strong customer service focus, effective prioritization, teamwork, independence, and ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
