This is a financial institution, looking for a IT Manager to oversee the firm's IT functions, including IT operations, infrastructure, security, end-user support, and IT vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the company’s overall IT environment, ensuring stability, security, and performance
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for all IT matters, working closely with outsourced IT service providers to deliver daily operations and support.
- Oversee IT infrastructure including networks, cloud services, hardware, software, and collaboration tools.
- Manage end-user support, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and a high level of user satisfaction.
- Monitor IT systems and proactively address risks, vulnerabilities, and performance issues.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security best practices, including access control, data protection, and backup/recovery.
- Manage IT vendors and service providers, including performance monitoring, contract management, and cost optimization.
- Lead the technical evaluation, vendor selection, and tendering process for IT solutions and services.
- Plan and coordinate implementation of IT projects such as upgrades, system migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, assets, configurations, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, security, and corporate governance requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to management on IT performance, risks, and ongoing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in an IT Manager/System Admin position.
- Proven experience managing outsourced IT vendors and service providers.
- Solid technical knowledge across infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure), cybersecurity, and endpoint management.
- Strong project management experience, including vendor evaluation, tendering, and implementation of IT initiatives.
- Familiarity with IT security frameworks and best practices (e.g., access control, endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery).
- Strong communication skills in both Cantonese and English.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT operations in a lean environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, or relevant) are a plus.
