Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a financial services organization, is seeking a skilled IT Security Specialist. This role is responsible for investigating security incidents, managing vulnerabilities across enterprise systems, and enhancing security operations through automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on, investigative mindset and thrives in a fast-paced environment where learning and problem-solving are part of the daily routine.
Job Duties:
- Investigate security alerts and incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts across technology teams
- Monitor endpoint security tools and analyze suspicious activity
- Conduct threat hunting activities using available telemetry and intelligence sources
- Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and investigation findings
- Research emerging threats and recommend improvements to security controls
- Support security tool administration, tuning, and optimization efforts
- Identify opportunities to automate manual security processes and reporting
- Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with incident response activities when required
- Contribute to security enhancement projects, training initiatives, and team knowledge sharing
Skills Required:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Security Operations, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, Network Security, or a related cybersecurity discipline
- Experience conducting security investigations and incident response activities
- Experience managing or supporting vulnerability management programs
- Experience in troubleshooting technical systems and documenting findings
- Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms such as CrowdStrike or similar tools
- Must have experience with SPF, DMARC, DKIM and DNS

- dExperience with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) processes and toolin
- gExperience with threat hunting methodologies and hypothesis-driven investigation
