Access Spectrum is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support security operations, including monitoring security alerts, assisting with vulnerability management, managing access controls, and responding to security incidents. This role plays a key part in protecting the organization’s systems, networks, and data while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Continuous Monitoring: Analyze security alerts from SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS tools to identify potential threats.
🔹 Vulnerability Assessment: Assist in running scheduled scans and coordinating with IT teams to ensure timely patching of systems.
🔹 Access Control: Help manage user identities and access rights, ensuring robust MFA and FIDO2 implementation across the board.
🔹 Incident Support: Act as a first responder for basic security incidents and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
🔹 Security Compliance: Assist in internal audits and ensure that technical controls align with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications:
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
✅Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and OS security (Windows and Linux).
✅Hands-on Skills: Experience with or exposure to security tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus).
✅Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security + ,SC-200 , CCDL1 or equivalent certificates
