Overview
Junior Security Coordinator Jobs in Chișinău, Moldova at Cegeka
Title: Junior Security Coordinator
Company: Cegeka
Location: Chișinău, Moldova
About the role
Cegeka is looking for a Junior Security Coordinator to reinforce its internal IT security governance within the DIO department (Digital Information Office), the team responsible for keeping Cegeka's own IT environment secure for thousands of employees across Europe. This is a governance role, not a hands-on fixing role. You don't patch servers or rebuild configurations yourself — you detect vulnerabilities and compliance gaps through reports and tooling, report them to the technical teams responsible, advise on what to fix and how, and make sure it gets done. Your job is to keep the right people accountable and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
You support our Cyber Security Architect (CSA) in running security checks and translating the output into actionable follow-up. As you build experience, you take on increasing ownership of our security governance processes and compliance reporting.
What you'll do
- Interpret results from security scans, vulnerability assessments and compliance reports, and translate findings into clear, prioritised action items for the teams responsible
- Advise and guide those teams on the nature of each finding and the recommended remediation approach is the expert guide and point of contact, not the one doing the fix
- Follow up persistently: track whether agreed actions are being taken, chase teams when they go quiet, and escalate to management when deadlines slip
- Track, document and report on the status of open security findings in our ITSM tooling (CA Service Desk Manager / JIRA) and security platforms
- Produce clear compliance and vulnerability reports for management and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with internal technical stakeholders and suppliers on security and remediation progress
- Support the CSA in executing security scans and assessments
- Contribute to the ongoing maturation of Cegeka's internal security governance processes
Your profile
- You have a degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- You have a broad IT background and feel comfortable across multiple domains, not necessarily to build or fix them, but to understand what you are reading and advise intelligently
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft environments: Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, endpoint management
- Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts: firewalls, patching, cloud environments (Azure is a plus)
- You know how to chase people constructively — assertive without being aggressive, and you don't give up when a team goes quiet
- Structured and methodical way of working, you follow through and nothing falls through the cracks
- Good communication skills, you know how to engage and coordinate across technical teams, you can explain a security risk to a non-technical stakeholder and get them to act on it
- You have a genuine interest in IT security and want to grow in that direction — you don't need to be a specialist yet, but curiosity and drive matter more than certificates
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900 or AZ-900 are a nice bonus, not a requirement
- Participation in CTF challenges, security communities or open-source projects is always a plus
