Role Description The Level III Security Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in New Braunfels, TX, responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for clients, staff, and facilities. Day-to-day duties include monitoring premises, conducting patrols, controlling access points, and responding to security incidents and alarms in accordance with established procedures. The role involves performing threat assessments, documenting incidents, and communicating clearly with supervisors, clients, and public safety agencies when needed. The Level III Security Officer may also support protective details, assist with emergency response, and adhere to all regulatory, legal, and company standards related to armed security operations. The position requires consistent professional conduct, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in security operations, including patrol, access control, incident response, and basic risk assessment.
- Proficiency in firearms handling, safe weapons management, and tactical awareness appropriate for a Level III armed security role.
- Strong observation, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage stressful situations, de-escalate conflicts, and make sound decisions in dynamic or high-threat environments.
- Valid Level III Security Officer license in the state of Texas, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Clean background check, reliable work history, and ability to meet all physical requirements of the role, including extended standing and patrolling.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to armed security and personal protection.
- Training or experience in emergency response, first aid/CPR, or related safety disciplines is highly beneficial.
- Experience in military, law enforcement, or high-threat protection environments is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training or certifications in security, protection, or tactical disciplines are advantageous.
