Position: Licensed Security Guard for AFIMAC
Location: Mount Pearl
Join AFIMAC as a licensed Security Guard and help protect communities across Newfoundland. This temporary contract role offers flexible assignments with competitive pay and accommodations provided when necessary.
AFIMAC is on the lookout for dedicated Security Guards for various projects throughout Newfoundland. This position requires availability for a minimum of four weeks, working long shifts that may include weekends and holidays. Candidates should possess a security guard license and have experience managing confrontational situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to labour disruptions and organized protests
• Manage response to man-made crises and disasters
• Work 12-hour shifts with a commitment to flexibility
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports
• Travel within Newfoundland as required for assignments
Requirements:
• Valid security guard license in Newfoundland
• Willingness to travel on short notice
• Ability to work 84 hours per week across assignments
• Strong English language skills for reporting
• Canadian residency and work eligibility
