Role Description: The Manager, Facilities, Security & Workplace Services is a key operational leader responsible for shaping and sustaining a safe, compliant, and high‑performing workplace environment that supports the needs of a growing pharmaceutical and natural health products organization.

This role oversees the full spectrum of facility operations, GMP cleaning programs, physical security infrastructure, vendor and contractor performance, workplace services, and site presentation. With a focus on operational excellence, regulatory readiness, and an exceptional employee experience, this individual will build scalable processes, strengthen site reliability, and ensure that the facility consistently reflects the standards expected in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily facility operations to maintain a clean, efficient, and professional workplace environment.
  • Oversee interior and exterior building upkeep, ensuring timely resolution of facility issues and service needs.
  • Coordinate minor repairs, service calls, and on‑site contractor activities to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure workplace readiness across meeting rooms, common areas, and shared spaces.
  • Direct GMP cleaning programs, ensuring compliance with sanitation SOPs, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
  • Manage cleaning vendors and maintain accurate GMP cleaning records, logs, and controlled‑area documentation.
  • Oversee physical access processes, visitor and contractor protocols, and the integrity of security systems including CCTV and intrusion alarms.
  • Maintain security incident logs, coordinate escalations, and liaise with external security service providers.
  • Manage landscaping, pest control, and security vendors, ensuring service quality and adherence to site expectations.
  • Lead workplace services including office supplies, ergonomic support, furniture coordination, and space planning.
  • Ensure new hires receive timely workplace setup, access provisioning, and workspace readiness.
  • Coordinate fire alarm testing, emergency response activities, drills, and collaboration with EHS on safety programs.
  • Maintain facility‑related SOPs, documentation, and administrative records to support compliance and inspections.
  • Oversee site appearance including landscaping, snow removal, parking lot upkeep, exterior lighting, and signage.
  • Develop scalable facility, workplace, and security procedures; support audits; manage contracts and invoices; oversee sustainability initiatives, front desk / reception or shipping/receiving functions, physical key control, and internal event support. 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience in regulated manufacturing environments will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or security operations within GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GMP cleaning oversight, sanitation compliance, controlled‑area support, and audit‑ready documentation practices.
  • Strong command of physical security systems, access control processes, incident management, vendor oversight, and cross‑functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and the ability to build scalable processes in a fast‑growth environment.

Note: Canadian work experience is not required. Equivalent international experience is accepted.
