We are seeking experienced Network Security Engineers with strong, hands-on expertise in enterprise firewall operations. This is a staff augmentation (contingent) role requiring deep technical experience managing next-generation firewalls in production environments.
Job Title: Network Security Engineer (Firewall – Palo Alto / Cisco)
Location: Marysville, OH (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:
This position is strictly onsite, supporting critical network security infrastructure, including on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower)
• Perform firewall policy lifecycle management (creation, optimization, cleanup)
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues (traffic flow, NAT, packet capture)
• Configure and support VPNs (IPSec, site-to-site, remote access)
• Assist in incident response from a network security perspective
• Support network segmentation and Zero Trust initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in network security / firewall engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS)
o Cisco ASA / Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC)
• Proven experience in:
o Firewall policy management
o Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
o VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience working in enterprise production environments
• Solid understanding of:
o Zero Trust architecture
o Network segmentation strategies
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications:
o PCNSE (Palo Alto)
o CCNP Security / CCIE Security
• Experience with firewall migrations, upgrades, or large-scale environments
Work Schedule
• 40 hours/week
• On-call rotation required
• Weekend/night work (at least once per month)
