Enhance community safety as an Overnight Outside Patrol Worker with Calgary Alpha House Society. This full-time position involves outdoor patrols to ensure safety and security for vulnerable populations near the shelter.
As an Outside Patrol Worker, you will bring compassion and security expertise to our team, ensuring a supportive environment for clients and the public. With a valid Security Guard license and at least two years of experience, you’ll engage with clients respectfully and manage situations efficiently. Your calm demeanor will help foster safety in the community as you monitor the shelter perimeter.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain visible presence to deter undesired activity
• Enforce rules with respect and dignity
• Conduct regular area patrols for safety hazards
• Monitor access and assist community partners
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate assistance
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta Basic Security Training Certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ security experience
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
• Knowledge of addictions and mental health
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather
