Security Specialist / Penetration Tester
We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist to support a high-security technical environment, focused on vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and cyber resilience.
Contract Details
- Initial term: 12 months
- Extensions: 2 x 12 months
- Location: ACT; onsite
- Clearance: PV / TSPV mandatory
- Engagement: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing across applications, networks, systems and cloud environments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and provide clear remediation advice
- Support simulated attack exercises and technical security testing
- Analyse complex threat profiles and security weaknesses
- Prepare clear reporting for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide advice on improving security posture, controls and risk mitigation
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on penetration testing experience
- Vulnerability assessment and remediation experience
- Experience with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark or similar
- Understanding of network, application, endpoint and cloud security
- Ability to work in secure, complex environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- OSCP, CREST, GPEN, CEH or similar
- Red team / simulated attack experience
- Threat intelligence or threat modelling exposure
- Incident response or digital forensics experience
