JOB DESCRIPTION
Ongoing position, will be on contractor for extended period of time 1+ years.
Job Summary:
The Physical Security Project Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for physical security initiatives across the organization. This remote role focuses on coordinating project activities, managing documentation, supporting installations and system enhancements, and serving as a communication bridge between Physical Security, Facilities, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders. This position does not require travel, or budget accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
· Coordinate security projects including system upgrades, facility development, new installations, and system additions.
· Manage project schedules, action logs, and documentation repositories.
· Track risks, dependencies, issues, and deliverables.
· Support project meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on tasks.
Physical Security Liaison
· Serve as a communication point between Physical Security, Facilities, IT, vendors, and internal/external stakeholders.
· Assist in converting security requirements into actionable tasks.
· Ensure cross‐functional alignment during planning and installation phases.
· Must demonstrate strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and professional emails.
· Maintains a professional appearance for occasional in‐person meetings or onsite engagements.
· Expected to represent the department professionally during any scheduled onsite or face‐to‐face interactions.
System Support & Documentation
· Maintain documents for VMS and Client platforms such as Milestone, Salient, Control Center, OpenEye, Eagle Eye, and CCURE.
· Assist with system configuration intake, device lists, test plans, and naming conventions.
· Review submittals, documentation, and as‐builts.
· Technically proficient and comfortable learning new software, tools, and security technology platforms.
· Ability to navigate and troubleshoot basic technical issues across collaboration tools, security systems, and documentation platforms.
Installation & Deployment Support (Remote)
· Coordinate vendor scheduling, remote testing sessions, and installation sequencing.
· Review site photos, diagrams, redlines, and documentation for compliance.
· Support remote commissioning and issue resolution.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Ensure installations and system changes follow security standards.
· Support adherence to naming conventions, retention policies, and configuration baselines.
Qualifications
Required
Project Coordination Experience
· 2–4+ years of experience in project coordination, project support, or program administration.
· Ability to manage schedules, action trackers, documentation repositories, and cross‐functional communication.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
Physical Security / Technical Experience
· Hands-on experience supporting or coordinating work related to physical security systems, including:
o Video management platforms (Milestone, Salient, Control Center, OpenEye, Eagle Eye)
o Access control systems (CCURE & Brivo)
o Understanding of intrusion panels, sensors, fire alarm interfaces, and associated monitoring workflows.
· Familiarity with foundational physical security concepts (camera placement, door hardware components, system testing/commissioning).
· Understanding basic networking concepts such as IP addressing, PoE, VLANs, and device connectivity.
Preferred
· Certification such as CAPM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt is preferred.
· ASIS International certifications such as PSP®, indicating physical security knowledge.

Working Conditions
· Occasional off‐hours coordination for system changes.
· Requires approximately 5% in‐person participation for occasional coordination, vendor interactions, or team‐building needs, and includes routine engagement in video‐enabled meetings to maintain effective communication and team presence.
