As an AT&T Technology Risk Management Principal, you will partner across the enterprise to strengthen technology risk management capabilities, with targeted focus areas including audit and issue management, AI and data management risk, and CTX risk advisory support. This role will help drive effective governance, enable responsible and trustworthy AI adoption, and support secure, scalable technology innovation across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and forward-thinking risk professional with experience navigating complex technology environments and evolving regulatory expectations. This individual should be equally comfortable providing independent risk oversight, influencing executive stakeholders, and helping enable innovation through practical, risk-informed solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support technology risk initiatives across audit and issue management; AI and Data Management risk with emphasis on responsible AI governance; Consumer Technology eXperience (CTX) risk advisory functions and emerging technology risk oversight
- Develop and enhance governance frameworks, risk management methodologies, controls, monitoring, KRIs/KPIs, and executive reporting related to AI systems, data management practices, technology risk, and remediation activities
- Partner with various business units and senior leaders to assess risk and coordinate activities associated with AI adoption, data management and evolving regulatory requirements
- Support risk oversight activities including issue identification, validation, control assessments, model and AI governance reviews, audit readiness, regulatory response, and ongoing monitoring of technology and AI-related risks
- Drive scalable and sustainable risk management capabilities through automation, process improvement, use case development, and implementation of technology solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience in technology risk management, AI governance, data risk, cybersecurity, audit, issue remediation, regulatory compliance, or related governance disciplines within a large enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of AI and data governance concepts, technology risk frameworks, audit and issue management practices, and regulatory expectations related to emerging technologies and responsible AI adoption
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, lead cross-functional initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and deliver executive-ready communications, reporting, and risk insights in complex and rapidly evolving environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting AI governance programs, AI risk management frameworks, model governance, or emerging technology oversight initiatives
- Experience with ServiceNow GRC, integrated risk management platforms, PowerBI, and risk reporting/dashboarding capabilities
- Strong analytical, relationship management, problem-solving, and program execution skills with ability to balance innovation, governance, and business objectives
