The American School Foundation is seeking a vigilant, proactive, and detail-oriented Safety and Security Supervisor. Key Responsibilities
- Legal Standards: Identify, implement, and evaluate legal requirements regarding Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Civil Protection.
- Norm Tracking: Document and manage compliance for all applicable STPS standards, including managing required studies, monthly equipment inspections, and official audits.
- Reporting: Develop detailed safety logs, technical reports, and executive presentations for leadership.
- Plan Execution: Design, implement, and execute safety, hygiene, and emergency response plans.
- Protocol Updates: Maintain and update established emergency protocols on the school's digital crisis management platforms.
- Drill Coordination: Support the planning and execution of campus-wide drills, including Earthquake, Fire, and Lockdown scenarios.
- Alarm Systems: Instruct security officers on the proper use of fire and seismic alarm systems. Investigate and report the root causes of any alarm activations.
- High-Risk Work: Supervise high-risk tasks performed by both internal operational staff and external contractors.
- PPE & Signage: Ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety signage, and first aid protocols across the campus.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Systems, or a closely related field.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar EHS or Civil Protection supervisory role.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Mexican labor regulations (STPS) and environmental frameworks (SEDEMA, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT).
- Software: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for project tracking and mapping. Experience with digital crisis management platforms is a plus.
- Languages: Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
