This is an opportunity for an experienced Security Engineering contractor to step into a broad, hands-on role where you’ll work across cloud, infrastructure, application security, and operational resilience.

The Role
As a Security Engineering contractor, you’ll act as a versatile security generalist embedded within a sophisticated engineering environment.
You’ll help strengthen security posture across multiple domains, including:
- Cloud and infrastructure security
- Security architecture and design reviews
- Vulnerability management and remediation
- Application and product security
- Security automation and tooling
- Incident detection, response, and operational readiness
- Identity and access management
- DevSecOps and CI/CD security enhancements
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing and improving security controls across production systems
- Partnering with engineering and infrastructure teams to embed security best practices
- Supporting incident investigations and remediation efforts
- Identifying security gaps and implementing practical solutions
- Enhancing monitoring, detection, and response capabilities
- Building scalable automation for security operations
- Conducting technical risk assessments and security reviews
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong background in security engineering across multiple disciplines
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
- Infrastructure, network, and systems security expertise
- Familiarity with modern application security practices
- Experience with automation/scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.)
- Incident response and vulnerability management experience
- Ability to operate independently in dynamic environments
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, TTPs, Nation state threat actors
- Experience in fintech, trading platforms, SaaS, or digital asset environments
- Exposure to containerization/Kubernetes security
- SIEM, EDR, or detection engineering experience
- Knowledge of secure SDLC and DevSecOps principles
- Experience within high-availability or regulated technical environments
