We are looking for an inspired security engineer to join our highly motivated and energetic team of security specialists to provide professional security services (implementation, technical consulting and escalated support) to our customers.
The range of security technologies used by our customers typically includes next generation firewalls, threat prevention, VPN and ZTNA, SDWAN, secure web gateways, web application firewalls, authentication, end point protection and EDR and security log and event analytics.
Role description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Security Engineer at ISA in Woodmead, Sandton. The Security Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to network security, cybersecurity and information security on a day-to-day basis. Specific responsibilities would include:
- security engineering and the implementation of security technologies
- technical delivery of security projects
- technical documentation and reporting
- technical consulting
- escalated support to customers
Desired experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years full time experience working with security technologies
- 3+ years experience with Fortinet technologies
- relevant tertiary/industry qualifications that include IT systems, networking and security related courses
- security technology vendor certifications
- knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- cloud networking and security experience an advantage
