Role Description The Security Guard role at MFCS is a full-time, on-site position based in Lusaka. The Security Guard will be responsible for safeguarding company premises, assets, and personnel through regular patrols, access control, and monitoring of entry and exit points. Daily duties include checking identification and documentation, supervising the movement of freight and cargo within designated areas, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The role also involves reporting and documenting incidents, responding to alarms and emergencies, and liaising with supervisors and relevant authorities when necessary. The Security Guard will interact with visitors, clients, and transport personnel, providing clear information and maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to interact professionally with staff, clients, and visitors.
- Demonstrated experience in physical security, including patrolling, surveillance, and access control.
- Knowledge of personnel security and private security practices, with an understanding of confidentiality and risk mitigation.
- Ability to remain alert, calm, and responsive during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
- Basic report writing skills and attention to detail for documenting incidents and security activities.
- Good physical fitness and capacity to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role; experience in logistics or transport environments is an advantage.
- Relevant security certification or training and a clean background record; familiarity with local safety and security regulations is beneficial.
