Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Security Guard position located in Vancouver, BC. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to prevent unauthorized entry, theft, and vandalism. This role involves ensuring the safety of people and property, responding to incidents, and coordinating with emergency services when required. Additional duties include managing access control, monitoring CCTV systems, performing site inspections, and providing excellent customer service to both clients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal and Customer Service skills for engaging with the general public, clients, and team members effectively
- Proficiency in Physical Security and Personnel Security methods, ensuring the safety of people and property
- Experience in Private Security and knowledge of security protocols for commercial, retail, or residential environments
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
- Minimum of two years of hands-on security experience
- Valid British Columbia Security Worker License
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Strong observational and reporting skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical fitness and ability to perform foot patrols and manage emergency situations
