Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Guard role based in Owerri. The Security Guard will monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization, and ensure that staff, guests, and property are protected at all times. Responsibilities include conducting regular patrols of the premises, reporting and documenting incidents, and responding promptly to alarms or emergencies in accordance with established procedures. The role also involves engaging with visitors and participants in a respectful, supportive manner that aligns with the foundation’s focus on mental wellness. The Security Guard will work closely with management and other team members to maintain a safe, calm, and welcoming environment for all.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Physical Security, Private Security, and Personnel Security skills.
- Candidates should possess solid Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to interact respectfully with diverse individuals.
- Relevant experience in security operations, preferably in non-profit, healthcare, educational, or community settings.
- Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in high-pressure or sensitive situations.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident reporting; prior training or certification in security or safety is an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts, including evenings or weekends if required.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety courses are beneficial.
